Burner
I started with a
Jetboil
but now swear by this brand. Not just for my burner but check my preference regarding water filter and water bag.
Do feel that the gas tanks empty faster on this MSR but I’m willing to put up with that. The mug is much firmer on the burner because you turn it on it.
The Jetboil has a button that emits a spark where with this one you use a lighter but I’ll take that too with all the love I can muster.
The standard, plastic, stand I scrapped during the 2nd adventure so I got
this steel
ordered. The advantage with this is that there is a clamp on 1 of the 3 legs which makes this stand even more sturdy.
The last 3 pictures are burners from a very distant past!
During my service, these Peak Ones were used where they were filled with gasoline.
You can explain that as an advantage because this burner can be filled with all types of gasoline in an emergency.
Major drawback is that one regularly caught fire so I am still glad that a simple gas tank is now sufficient for me!
